Join our Washington D.C. team and members of the CHIME Policy Steering Committee (PSC) for an insider’s view into what is coming out of Washington and what you can expect as we head into an election year. Where does digital health stand, what new regulations and legislation are on tap? They will provide an overview of the activity of congressional committees of jurisdiction, and the multiple agencies with a hand in healthcare oversight, including the CMS, FDA, OCR, ONC, NIST, OIG and more.

CHIME Sunrise Session – Opioid Task Force Roundtable – How To Get Involved

The CHIME opioid task force began with members lining up to volunteer during CHIME17 Fall CIO Forum and they held their first meeting in January 2018.  During their first meeting they determined their plan of action; to focus on two specific areas where they believed they can make the most impact; using members’ expertise and CHIME’s resources to facilitate hospital and community-based education and best practice sharing and engaging policy leaders at national, state, and local levels with the help of the CHIME Public Policy Steering Committee and CHIME’s public policy team to advocate for healthcare IT policies and programs to combat the opioid epidemic.

Come and meet the task force members and chairs, hear about the work they’ve accomplished, what they have planned next, find out how you can get involved, and more.
